God loves you and wants you to be with Him in a wonderful place called Heaven. His plan is simple and powerful. Here are some fundamental Bible truths that will help you understand God and His amazing love.

Steps to Salvation

First:  The Bible says we all are sinners.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;“ Romans 3:23

Second:  Sin requires a payment.

“For the wages [payment] of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”  Romans 6:23

Third:  Good works cannot save us.

“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ …”  Galatians 2:16

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Fourth:  Jesus Christ paid for our sins.

“But God commendeth [proved] his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”  Romans 5:8

Fifth:  You can receive Jesus Christ as your Savior.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”  Romans 10:9 and 13

Will you call upon Jesus and ask Him to save you?

What’s next after salvation?

Know
– You are saved.

“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”  I John 5:13

“Let not your heart be troubled, ye believe in God, believe also in me.  In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”  John 14:1-3

Show – By following Christ in baptism.

“Then they that gladly received His word were baptized…”  Acts 2:41

Grow – Through Bible study and prayer.

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15

“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.”  Luke 18:1

Go – Attend a Bible-believing church and tell others about Jesus.

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”  Hebrews 10:25

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”  Matthew 28:19
